I recieved my mission call December 12... I put my availability date as January 1st, I was planning on heading out ASAP and kicking butt in the mission field before I could blink.

I cannot express the excitement I felt when I was called to Poland. I had been fasting that entire day, I asked, if it were possible, for love for the place I'd be serving. And it definitely hit me. At first I thought... May 1st, that's not so bad:)
I got a job, started working on my language, read my scriptures each morning, and the days slowly started ticking by. I felt like it was going well, and then one day I got on my mission website...
You enter the MTC in...

WHAT!!!
I was going to die! I am on of those crazies who hates to be in one place for too long, and I felt like crying, especially when I discovered that some girls who had their call the same day as me were leaving Feb. 23. I thought, why? Heavenly Father, I really believe that you love and care about me, please help me to know what to do, or I will go stark raving mad!

As I was reading my scriptures shortly thereafter, I read in D&C 11:15
( this whole piece is amazing... but verse 15 really struck me)
12 And now, verily, verily, I say unto thee, put your atrust in that bSpirit which cleadeth to do dgood—yea, to do ejustly, to walk fhumbly, to gjudge righteously; and this is my Spirit. 13 Verily, verily, I say unto you, I will impart unto
you of my Spirit, which shall aenlighten your bmind, which shall fill your soul with cjoy; 14 And then shall
ye know, or by this shall you know, all things whatsoever you desire of me,
which are pertaining unto things of arighteousness, in faith believing in me that you
shall receive.

Patience... what a great lesson for me to learn. I was so grateful for this knowledge. I need to learn more before I go, so that I can be the most effective missionary!
